Brief Description of Event:
Help us install our 1 millionth smoke alarm. On average, seven people die every day from a home fire. But you can help protect families against these tragedies. Join us in the fall of 2017 as we install lifesaving alarms in more than 100 cities and towns nationwide. Starting September 23 and continuing throughout October, the Red Cross and our community partners will install alarms in every state, plus U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico. Below are major events, where we will install at least 1,850 smoke alarms. In the National Capital Region, events include 9/23/17 in Prince George's County, MD, 3 locations - Oxon Hill, Bladensburg, and Mount Rainier, and 10/7/17 in Washington, DC - Brightwood Park.
