Brief Description of Event: 
Park After Dark is the C&O Canal Trust’s annual fundraising gala held at the Historic Great Falls Tavern in Potomac, MD, during which thousands of dollars are raised to help preserve the natural, cultural, historic, and scenic resources of the C&O Canal National Historical Park. This event includes live music, dancing, a silent auction, and a catered dinner for 300 guests. This year, the C&O Canal Trust's 7th Annual Park After Dark is fundraising to help support the Park's Canal Classrooms program, which allows thousands of students from Montgomery, Washington, and Allegany Country to come out to the C&O Canal National Historical Park to learn STEM lessons as they explore and experience our beautiful Park with local teachers and Park Service Rangers. This event is a large undertaking, and would not be possible without the help of community volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help us out in various roles before, during, and event the evening of the gala. Student Service Learning hours will be available each shift for those that need them.
