Brief Description of Event: 
Please join the Governor's Office of Community Initiatives on Wednesday, Sept. 11th, for our 2019 Day to Serve Kick-Off Event. Participants may sign up to volunteer for the park cleanup and beautification, register for the 5k or 1 mile family Run/Walk or just come out to support the 9/11 Remember-Honor-Teach 5k and tribute ceremony. Quiet Waters Park Beautification and Clean Up Project 11:30 am - 4:00 pm Registration begins at 11:30am- Please click on the link to volunteer. 9/11 Remember-Honor-Teach 5K to Benefit Wreaths Across America and Tunnel to Towers. 4:00 pm - 7:00pm 4pm - Registration Begins 5pm - 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony(All are welcome) 5:30 - Runners/Walkers Begin Please join Cathy Powers, Gold Star Mom, “Running Fir Wreaths” in loving memory of her son, SRA Bryce Powers and all veterans past present and future. 1,000 Miles - 50 States - 7,777 Wreaths.
