Brief Description of Event: 
Please join the Governor's Commissions on African and Middle Eastern American Affairs in the Day to Serve Statewide Waterway Clean-Up at Sandy Point State Park on September 15th. Close toe shoes are required. We will provide either Nitrile, or thick cotton gloves depending on the task. We ask that if any medical waste is found (needles or anything biological), to Not touch it and notify a park staff member to remove it. If you have any open wounds please avoid contact with the water. We will provide water for the event please drink water often. Children under 16 must have an adult supervisor and have parent permission. Children under 7 are not recommended. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior, if possible. Please RSVP to Kevin.craft@maryland.gov so the we can provide adequate equipment. The ranger will direct our group to the designated clean-up area.
