The District of Columbia is at the heart of Day to Serve. We are amazed at the generosity of DC citizens in giving of their time and talents to make their communities better each year during Day to Serve. Mayor Bowser's strong support for Day to Serve continues this year as she issues a proclamation recognizing Day to Serve and calling upon DC citizens to get involved!

Since the beginning, the District of Columbia has been at the heart of Day to Serve. Over the past 3 years, hundreds of DC residents have answered the call to feed the hungry and make their communities better each September. Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser issued a proclamation recognizing Day to Serve in the district for 2015. The proclamation recognizes the importance Day to Serve in bringing together neighborhoods in and around the nation's capitol as well as the countless hours of service given. We appreciate Mayor Bowser, and so many working for her, for their commitment to the community and the environment and we look forward to a very successful Day to Serve 2015!
